There Are No Excuses Not To Do The Right Thing

Dear Friend of RRHM,

I was engaged in an internet discussion recently, and everyone was letting out their frustrations on the state of the nation – high cost of living, corruption, unstable power supply, insensitive leadership and everything else in-between.

At the end of it all, we all chalked it down to a lack of accountability being the bane of our society, and the solution was that it was something we needed to tackle from the bottom up.
Some of us expressed doubt about how that would be possible, and we came up with excuses as to how impossible it would be…but you know what? We just need to do what needs to be done.

There can’t be any excuses for not doing the right thing, and if we are honest with ourselves, we will admit that we have all come up with one excuse or the other at some point in time for breaking a law, or going against our principles. As Benjamin Frankin said “He that is good for making excuses  is seldom good for anything else,” so we might want to consider that the next time we decide to drop an excuse.

To the issue on the way forward for Nigeria, just as President Donald Trump has vowed to make the United States of America great again, we would like to invite you to take a similar vow to make Nigeria great again.
Let us pledge to do the right thing.
Let us decide to give #NOEXCUSES (yes, yes, but how does my pledge  make any difference, you might ask. Well just try it first and see, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain).

We can start off by taking a conscious decision to imbibe the Accountability Pathway in our lifestyles.
Read it at the beginning of each day, and just before you go to bed. Keep reminding yourself that this is the reason why Nigeria is not the way she should be, and you are part of the reason.

Share the Accountability Pathway with your colleagues, friends, and family. If we can gradually get to change our mindsets, we will be on the path to greater glory, and remember #NOEXCUSES!
